What to expect
You get tables and charts with revenue, percentages or exchange rates. Each question has five answers, and time is tight. The calculations themselves are mostly the rule of three and percentages.
Question first, then the data
Reading the whole table first costs time. Read the question, note the two or three values you need, and look only for those.
About 75 seconds per question is a good benchmark. If you’re stuck longer, make an informed choice and move on.
Three habits
- Scan the answers before calculating – an estimate is often enough.
- Check units: thousands, millions, percent or percentage points.
- Use the calculator only for the last step.
How to practice
Take a practice test under real time conditions, review every wrong answer with its solution, and repeat the test two days later.
